Islamic Finance gets new MD

Md Nurul Azim has been appointed as the Managing Director of Islamic Finance and Investment PLC (IFI PLC) on Sunday, says a statement.

Prior to joining IFIPLC, Mr Azim worked for SBAC Bank PLC as Additional Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director.

He has experience working in diverse sectors of banking for over 24 years. He worked with different banks such as Premier Bank, Southeast Bank and National Bank in various capacities.

Among his achievements, Mr. Azim has been recognised as the best 'Branch Manager' several times during his service at National Bank and SBAC Bank.

Mr. Azim obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in economics from Rabindra Bharati University, India. He hails from Patuakhali district.
