Istanbul event promotes BD as investment destination

Bangladesh Consulate General in Istanbul has made a presentation on 'Bangladesh: A Socio-Economic Miracle' to promote Bangladesh in Turkey, reports UNB.

The programme was held at Bakirkoy NGO Association Platform, an established NGO in Turkey consisting of more than 20 NGOs working mainly on environment and developmental issues.

Bangladesh Consul General Dr Mohammad Monirul Islam highlighted basic facts of Bangladesh's history, demography, society, economy and culture at the event held on Friday, said a press release.

He briefed the audience on Bangladesh's achievements and recognitions in the international arenas, especially in the areas of poverty alleviation, natural disaster management, environment and global warming, migration and women empowerment.
