Mohammed Jahangir Alam and Sumon Chowdhury have been re-elected president and secretary general of the Bangladesh Steel Manufacturers Association (BSMA) respectively.
The election for the BSMA Executive Committee for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 terms was held during the 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the city's Banani Club on Saturday, said a statement issued by the BSMA on Wednesday.
Other office-bearers include Senior Vice President -- Md Shahidullah, Vice Presidents -- Aameir Alihussain, Abdus Salam, and Maruf Mohsin, Joint Secretaries -- Furkan Mohammad N. Hossain and Md Zakaria (Zaky), Finance Director -- Saifur Rahman Khokon, Director of International Affairs -- Saumitra Kumar Mutsuddi, Organising Director -- Shahriar Jahan, and Publicity Director -- Sarwar Alam.
On the other hand, directors of the committee are: S Kh Masadul Alam Masud, Mohammed Israil, Ashraf Siddique, Shayaan Seraj, and Hasan Mia.
