Light machinery makers to get special incentive: Kamal Majumder

The government will provide special incentive for producing light machinery in the country, State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder said at a function on Thursday, reports BSS.

"We will bring all light machinery producing industries at a place for ensuring quick services," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar and memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony at the Tools and Machineries Institute of Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (BITAC) in the capital, according to a press release.

Additional Secretary of the Industries Ministry Salahuddin Mahmud, Information Technology (IT) Department Director of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Professor Dr Mohammad Arif Hasan Mamun and President of Bangladesh Engineers Owners Association Md Abdur Razzak attended the function as special guests.

Director General of the BITAC Dr Md Mofizur Rahman presided over the seminar.

Kamal Majumder instructed all authorities concerned to handover the plots of the industrial cities and parks after completing the 100 per cent works.
