Maksudul Hasan has been appointed as Additional Managing Director of Uttara Bank PLC. Prior to his new role, he was the Deputy Manging Director of the bank, says a statement.
Mr Hasan started off his career in Uttara Bank in 1989 as a probationary officer. Since then, he has been working in the same bank.
He worked as Branch Manager both in Non-AD & AD branches before joining the Head Office. At the Head Office, he worked at various departments and divisions such as Human Resources Divisions, International Divisions, Risk Management Department, Banking Control & Common Services Division, Internal Control & Compliance Division, Engineering Department, General Services Department, Transport Department, and Public Relations Department.
Mr Hasan was the Chief Risk Officer of the bank from June 26, 2019 to June 5, 2023. He was awarded Integrity Reward for fiscal year 2021-22.
Mr. Hasan obtained his B.A. (Honours) degree in English in 1985 and M.A. in 1986 from Jahangirnagar University. He hails from Shibpasha, Madan upazila, Netrokona.
