The Board of Directors of National Tea Company Limited (NTC) has unanimously elected Mamun Rashid as its Chairman at its 683rd meeting recently, says a statement.
He will serve in this capacity until the next Annual General Meeting.
A distinguished institution builder and business leader, Mr Rashid brings in over 37 years of experience spanning local and international financial institutions.
As the Chairman of NTC, Mr Rashid is expected to leverage his deep expertise in banking, trade, and strategic management to enhance the company's market position and drive long-term value for stakeholders.
He currently serves as the President of ShopUp, Bangladesh's leading B2B commerce platform.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mr Rashid has served PwC Bangladesh, Citibank N.A., Standard Chartered Bank, and ANZ Grindlays Bank.
He has also played a pivotal role in international trade facilitation as Chairman of the Banking Commission at the International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh.
