MAN Energy CSO sees BD strategic market

The MAN Energy Solutions (MAN ES) recently opened 'MAN PrimeServ Workshop' in Bangladesh, says a statement.

Around 150 customers and guests of honour attended the inaugural ceremony of the MAN PrimeServ Workshop, the first opened by the company in the country.

The inaugural ceremony was held at a hotel in the capital.

German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Thomas Prinz, Executive Board member and Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of MAN Energy Solutions Wayne Jones, senior vice presidents of MAN Energy Solutions Alexander Stöckler and Stefan Eefting were present.

MAN PrimeServ is the company's after sales brand and operates a vast network of customer service centers all over the world.

Addressing the programme, Wayne Jones said MAN Energy sees Bangladesh a strategic market for the company.

"Bangladesh is a strategic market for us", he said.

"We currently are equipping 10 power plants with a combined capacity of more than one Gigawatt," Jones noted.

Orders for all these plants were received within the past one and a half years, he mentioned.

"We are very proud to be a trusted partner of the energy industry in this rapidly-developing country," he remarked.

In Bangladesh, MAN ES does not only offer power plant solutions but also marine engines, turbochargers and turbo machinery, including gas booster compressors and steam turbines.

"Given our strong engagement in Bangladesh we are excited to announce that our PrimeServ workshop facility is ready and fully functional, Jones said.

"It enables us to offer a higher service level to our local customers and to react quicker to their needs. And, of course, it increases the domestic content of the added value," he added.

Headquartered in Germany, MAN Energy Solutions employs some 14,000 people at over 120 sites globally.

Its after-sales brand, MAN PrimeServ, offers a vast network of service centres to the customers of the company all over the world.
