Meghna Bank appoints new DMD

Momtazul Karim N Ahmed has been appointed as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Meghna Bank PLC recently, says a press statement.

Mr Ahmed is an eminently seasoned banker with over 19 years of experience in banking industry covering both local and multinational banks.

In the professional journey, Mr. Ahmed stepped into his banking career with Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) and later on moved to NRB Bank. Most recently he was the Head of Corporate Banking of Bank Alfalah Ltd - Bangladesh.

He has diverse expertise in corporate banking, program design & rollout, Agri and SME financing, offshore banking, FI credit lines and Business, Trade services, Supply Chain Finances, Structured Finance, Cash Management Solutions and also played pivotal role in facilitating improved Cyber Security, Trade Based Money laundering process.

Mr. Ahmed served in various senior management roles where he was instrumental in developing strategic business initiatives and promoting sustainable banking practices.

Mr. Ahmed holds a BBA and an MBA, majoring in Finance and Banking, from the University of Dhaka, followed by a Master of Science with a concentration in Strategic Planning from Johns Hopkins University, USA.

He achieved numerous certifications, participated in trainings and distinguished workshops at home and abroad.
