Midland Bank PLC and Milvik Bangladesh Limited sign a Memorandum of Understanding on improving healthcare access at the bank's head office on Sunday.
Midland Bank PLC and Milvik Bangladesh Limited (Swedish HealthTech) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on improving healthcare access and delivery in underserved communities.
This strategic partnership is set to leverage digital technologies and financial inclusion initiatives to address the growing demand for accessible healthcare, not only in urban areas but also in rural and remote areas.
Mohd.?Javed?Tarek?Khan, SEVP and Head of the Institutional Banking Division at MDB, and Shihab Uddin Chowdhury, Country Manager, Milvik Bangladesh Limited, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations at the bank's head office on Sunday.
The MoU outlines a joint effort to create sustainable healthcare solutions that will improve health outcomes through technology-driven platforms. Midland Bank's expertise in financial services will complement Milvik Bangladesh's cutting-edge healthcare technologies, focusing on the use of telemedicine, health monitoring, mobile health applications, and digital health records to provide healthcare services to individuals who are geographically distant or unable to access traditional medical facilities.
Senior officials from both organisations, including Md. Rashed Akter, Head of Retail Distribution Division; Omar Sharif, Head of Digital Financial Services; Mohammad Hassibur Rahman, Head of Cash Management; and Ashrafur Rahman, Relationship Manager, from Midland Bank PLC and from Milvik Bangladesh Limited, Mohammad Ishaque, Country Lead (mHealth); Riaz Mostafa, Country Lead (Finance & Admin); and Rahat Ikbal, Country Lead (Field Sales) were present.
