Mohammad Ali appointed as Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank chairman

Mohammad Ali has been appointed as the chairman of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank for a term of three years, says a recent notification issued by the Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance.
In 1982, he joined Chittagong University as a lecturer of the Economics Department and in 1985, he joined Rajshahi University (RU) in the same position, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.
Carrying out his responsibilities in the profession of teaching with success for 41 years, he was ultimately promoted as a Grade-1 professor.
Moreover, he efficiently carried out his duties in the important administrative posts of different public and private universities. He also has notable journals published to his name.
Mohammad Ali was born in a Muslim family of the New Market area in Pabna city in 1958. His father had been the president of Pabna Bar Association for eight years.
In 1977, he obtained his graduation degree from RU's Department of Economics and did his postgraduation at the same department in 1978, securing the first position in the first division.
He earned his PhD degree from the Manchester University of the United Kingdom (UK) in 1992, after receiving the Commonwealth Scholarship issued by Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, London.
He is blessed with three sons and a daughter.
