Bangladeshiyo Cha Sangsad or Bangladesh Tea Association (BTA), an organisation representing the owners of tea gardens of Bangladesh, held its election at its office in Dhaka on Tuesday, says a statement.
Kamran T. Rahman was elected as Chairman, Salek Ahmed Abul Masrur as Senior Vice-Chairman and Nihad Kabir as Vice-Chairman for the term of 2025-2026 and 2026-2027.
The elected members of the Central Executive Committee for the same terms are M Wahidul Haque, Mirza Salman Ispahani, Md Mustafizur Rahman, Tahsin Ahmed Choudhury, M Zahirul Islam, Saifur Rahman, Asif Moyeen, H. S. M. Ziaul Ahsan, Paban Chowdhury, Sajid Abdullah Choudhury, Manzoor Elahi and Morshedul Alam Quaderi.
The election was conducted by Chairman of BTA Election Board Syed Tareque Md. Ali, and Election Board members Abdul Barik Khan and Ahsanul Huq Chowdhury.
