New wage board for RMG soon

The Minimum Wage Board on garment sector will submit its proposal recommending the wage hike for the workers to the government by next three months, state minister for labour Mujibul Haque said Saturday. "The government will fix the minimum monthly wages for the garment sector taking all the situations into consideration," he said adding the wages was increased by 223 per cent in 2013. The minister was speaking while handing over the insurance claim checks to a total of 429 families of workers who died in the knitwear factories during last three years.
