eGeneration to offer AI solutions to SmartCrowd
eGeneration Ltd. recently signed an agreement with Dubai-based fastest growing funding company SmartCrowd to create artificial intelligence, data analytics and block chain-based digital investment platform for it. SM Ashraful Islam, Executive Vice-Chairman of eGeneration Group and Siddique Farid, the founder and CEO of SmartCrowd, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies at the head office of eGeneration in the capital recently in presence of Shameem Ahsan, chairman of eGeneration Group. Mushfiq Ahmed, a technology expert from Middle East, and Emran Abdullah, Head of Operations, eGeneration Ltd., were also present.— Statement
Product dev contest at JU today
SAVAR: The final round of a product development competition titled 'Prodex-2017' will be held on Monday on the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus. With the slogan -- Challenge Your Limits -- the Forum of Entrepreneurship (FEB-JU), a Business Studies Faculty-based social organization, organises the competition. President of FEB-JU Md Saidur Rahman disclosed the event at a press conference at Jahangirnagar University Journalists' Association (JUJA) office on Sunday. Additional Secretary of Ministry of Public Administration Md Jayed Molla is expected to inaugurate the competition as the chief guest while Dean of Business Studies Faculty Assistant Professor Nilanjon Kumar Saha will chair the inaugural session, he said. "We have selected only six teams, out of 112, from a total of 42 public and private universities across the country for the final round," he added. Top three teams of the competition will be awarded Tk 10,0000, Tk 75,000 and Tk 50,000 respectively.— BSS
C'nawabganj to have modern mango market
CHAPAINAWABGANJ: A modern mango market would be constructed at Moharajpur Fielderhat in Sadar Sadar upazila. Lawmaker of Chapainawabganj Sadar constituency M Abdul Wadud laid the foundation stone of the market recently. Sadar upazila engineer ANM Wahiduzzaman said the two-storied building on a three-storey foundation would be constructed at a cost of over Tk 46 million. The mangoes of the district would be sent to other districts of the country from Chapainawabganj after branding so that buyers can identify the mangoes of Chapainawabganj easily, he added. During the off-season of mangoes, this building would be used for other commercial purposes, he added. — BSS
