Marubeni looks to set up fertiliser factory in BD

Japanese Marubeni Corporation on Sunday expressed its interest to set up a Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK) fertiliser factory in Bangladesh. This was disclosed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the South-West Asian region of the Marubeni Corporation Naoki Izumi when he called on Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu at his office in the city, said a press release. The minister said if the Marubeni Corporation gives specific proposal for setting up a factory, it will be considered. Naoki Izumi said Marubeni Corporation will provide all sorts of supports to Bangladesh for achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). — BSS

Robi, Airtel launch 4G in Singra

State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the 4.5G service of Robi and 4G+ service of Airtel in Singra upazila on Saturday, the first day of Bangla New Year. Zunaid Ahmed inaugurated the service while Robi's Managing Director and CEO Mahtab Uddin Ahmed was present. Zunaid Ahmed thanked Robi for bringing Singra under the coverage of Robi's 4.5G and Airtel's 4G+ service. He also praised Robi for its contribution towards the socio-economic development through its Corporate Responsibility initiatives. — UNB
