ICAB holds student summit in Ctg

The "ICAB CRC Student Summit 2017" was recently organised by Chittagong Regional Committee (CRC)-ICAB for the university students. It was designed to inform the university students about the chartered accountancy profession. The event was the first time in Chittagong. A large number of university students as well as teachers attended the programme. Adeeb Hossain Khan, President of the ICAB, addressed the gathering as the chief guest. Showkat Hossain FCA, past president of the ICAB, Alihussain Akberali FCA, chairman of BSRM Group, Md. Mahamud Hosain FCA, vice president of the ICAB, Khondkar Atique-e Rabbani FCA, managing director of the Computer Limited, Raihan Shamsi FCA, managing director of Accenture, Saifur Rahman Mazumder FCA, managing director of Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited, Suraiya Zannath FCA, first lady chartered accountant and lead financial management specialist of the World Bank also addressed the gathering. —Statement

Healthy food fest opens today at Radisson Dhaka

In order to tackle Dhaka's growing health problem and set an example for healthy living and eating, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden is hosting an event titled International Healthy and Organic Food Festival to eradicate the misconception that healthy food is not tasteful, and to give people a taste of quality, healthy and organic food available in Dhaka city. This festival is the first of its kind in Bangladesh. The five-day festival starts from today (Tuesday). Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden is the only hotel in Dhaka, which grows its own organic herbs, edible flowers, and mushrooms at the hotel premises. Throughout this festival, the hotel chefs will present iconic food prepared with organic and healthy ingredients using less oil, sugar while still being superbly tasty. Examples of such healthy food that will be available at the festival are: Sushi and Sashimi prepared with organic brown rice, Japanese Fruit Sushi treats.— Statement
