Muklesur Rahman

re-appointed as

MD & CEO of

Shimanto Bank

Muklesur Rahman has been re-appointed as Managing Director & CEO of Shimanto Bank. He has been serving the bank as the MD & CEO since its inception. Mr. Rahman is a veteran banker having more than 35 years' experience in reputed local and foreign banks. Prior to his joining the Shimanto Bank, he served as MD & CEO of NRB Bank Limited. Commencing a career with the United Commercial Bank in 1984, he gradually moved up the ladder by serving top national and global banks such as Standard Chartered, ANZ Grind lays, Citi NA, Eastern Bank in various senior management capacities leading large teams in areas spanning branch management, retail, SME, operations, distribution, compliance, foreign trade, project management, etc. He has attended numerous leadership, management development and learning programmes at home and abroad and instilled international best practices in all entities he has served. — Statement

Midland Bank opens agent banking

centre in Shibchar

Midland Bank Limited (MDB) opened an agent banking centre at Shibchar Bazar under Shibchar thana in Madaripur on Monday to take modern banking services to the unbanked masses. Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, formally inaugurated the centre as the chief guest along with Md Waliul Haque, Proprietor of M/s. Wali Enterprise and local elite.
