edotco brings free electricity to 1,000 households
edotco Bangladesh, an integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company, has recently reached a milestone of providing free electricity to 1,000 households under its 'Tower to Community' project. The project was launched in 2016 as part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The company is now providing free electricity to 1,000 families, schools and mosques in 26 locations across the country, including Nijhum Dwip, Shibpur, Nazirpur and Kuakata. With the implementation of sustainable energy solutions, the project brought hope to the life of local neighbourhood by fulfilling their basic need for electricity. The people of the project areas are utilising the free electricity facility to avail pure and clean drinking water through water pumps as well. Now they can use electric lights to complete their everyday household works, students can study, villagers can perform their prayers comfortably, can charge their mobile phones, torch and so forth.

FSIBL opens branch in Cumilla
The Bagmara Bazar branch of First Security Islami Bank Limited (FSIBL) started its operation on Monday to providing shariah based modern banking services to its clients. Managing Director of the bank Syed Waseque Md Ali inaugurated the branch at Bagmara Bazar of Lalmai in Cumilla. Additional Managing Director Abdul Aziz, Head of General Services Division S. M. Nazrul Islam, Branch Manager Mohammed Tanbir Hasan Siddique and local elite were present on the occasion. — Statement
