SBI top executive arrives in Dhaka today

Dinesh Kumar Khara, Managing Director (Global Banking & Subsidiaries) of State Bank of India (SBI), arrives in Dhaka today (Thursday) on a two-day visit to Bangladesh. C. Venkat Nageswar, Deputy Managing Director (International Banking) is accompanying him. During the visit, Mr. Khara will inaugurate new country head office of SBI Bangladesh Operations and meet with the senior government officials, top officials of Bangladesh Bank and prominent business houses of Bangladesh. — Statement

ATOMEXPO to be held in Russia in April

The 11th International Nuclear Power Forum ATOMEXPO 2019 will be held in Russia's southern city of Sochi on April 15-16. Over 6,000 participants from 60 countries, including Bangladesh, will come together to share their knowledge, expertise and best practices in the field of nuclear energy. The event would host interesting, educative mind- boggling round table and panel discussion sessions on topics starting from nuclear technology applications to non-energy application of nuclear and radiation technologies in the industry, science, medicine and agriculture; distribution of advanced management decisions; and introduction of digital technologies for the development of urban infrastructure and improvement of living standards. In addition, the business programme will include sessions on pressing issues in the nuclear industry organised by the forum's business partners - the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) and the World Nuclear Association. Earlier, the 10th ATOMEXPO Forum in 2018 attracted over 4,000 delegates and guests from 68 countries. Over 600 companies took part in that event. — Statement
