FBCCI names directors elected uncontested

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) declared the names of elected directors (uncontested) from the chamber group as well as the association group. The apex trade body declared on Saturday a total of 35 names elected directors uncontested from the chamber group. Another 36 were declared as directors elected uncontested from the association group.

BSTI cases against

seven businesses

Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) lodged on Sunday cases against seven businesses over measurement manipulation. The cases were filed under the Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 2018. Two BSTI surveillance teams conducted the raids at Savar of Dhaka and in Shariatpur and lodged the cases. BSTI Assistant Director Rezaul Karim and Assistant Director Md Monnaf Hossain led the drives. The businesses are: M/S Maa General Store, M/S Mr Sweets, M/S Haque Bakery and Confectionary in Savar area, and M/S Tamima Traders, M/S Atik Store, M/S Sardar Traders and M/S Eba Bakery in Shariatpur. — statement
