BARVIDA gets new president

Abdul Haque has been elected unopposed the president of Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (BARVIDA) for 2019-2021 term. Founder president of the association, Mr. Haque became the president of BARVIDA for the third time. Mohammed Shahidul Islam, proprietor of HNS automobiles, has been elected secretary general of BARVIDA in the biennial election held on Saturday last, said a statement. The association elected 25-member executive committee while Mr. Haque's panel got the majority. — FE Report

Certificate awarding ceremony

A certificate giving ceremony will be held on Wednesday in the city following an orientation course organised for the newly-recruited employees of the Tax Zone-13 under the National Board of Revenue (NBR), says a press release. The programme is scheduled to begin on the tax zone's office premises at 11:30 am. Prizes will also be distributed on the occasion. Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, Senior Secretary of the Internal Resources Division under the Ministry of Finance and Chairman of the NBR, will attend the programme as the chief guest. Tax Zone-13 Tax Commissioner Md Bazlul Kabir Bhuiyan will preside over the programme. — Statement
