PKSF to establish sales centre for marginal entrepreneurs

Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) will establish a display-cum-sales centre in the capital to help marginal entrepreneurs promote their products. The proposed 13-storey facility in the city's Shyamoly will help beneficiaries under various development programmes of PKSF display and sell their merchandise. PKSF signed an agreement with Concord Engineers and Construction Ltd at its headquarters on Sunday, according to a statement. PKSF deputy managing director Md. Jashim Uddin and Shahriar Kamal, managing director of Concord Engineers and Construction Ltd Shahriar Kamal, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides. Md Abdul Karim, PKSF MD, was present along with other officials from both organisations during the signing ceremony. According to the statement, primarily 13 floors of the 21-storey building will be completed within three-years on 12.5 Katha land. Marginal entrepreneurs will showcase their merchandise at the sales promotion centre with all modern amenities of a shopping centre.— FE Report

UBICO donates blankets to Anjuman Mufidul

UBICO as part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) has been extending help to the underprivileged and needy population of the community through its various activities. Norwegian firm to set up solar plant in Chandpur

I Scatec Solar, a Norwegian power producing company, will set up a 800 megawatt-solar power plant in Chandpur at a cost of $1.0 billion. I Scatec Solar and state-run Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) signed a memorandum of understanding on setting up the plant, said the BEZA. A total of 3,002 acres of land will be required for setting up the power plant, said the Norwegian firm in an initially estimation. Executive member of BEZA Md Harunur Rashid and I Scatec Solar vice-president Morten Langshold signed the MoU on their respective side. — BSS
