Chittagong City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin handing over a crest to Osiur Rahman COX'S BAZAR, Nov 9: Noted business personality Osiur Rahman has been honoured as the 'highest taxpayer' of the district for the fourth time this year.
Mr Osiur, managing director of OKM group and proprietor of the OKM Trading Company, received the award -- a crest and a certificate -- at the closing ceremony of Tax Fair-2017 at GEC Convention Hall in the Chittagong city on Wednesday. National Board of Revenue (NBR) arranged the tax fair.
Chittagong City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin, who was the chief guest at the closing ceremony, gave away the awards to the highest taxpayers of Chittagong region. 'Kar Bahadur' awards were also given at the ceremony.
Tax Commissioner of Chittagong Tax Zone-1 Mahbub Hossain presided over the ceremony. Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Mohammed Zillur Rahman, Superintendent of Police Noor-e Alam Mina, Commissioner of Customs Syed Golam Kibria and President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mahbubul Alam also attended the function.
