Pragati Life Insurance Limited signed a group insurance agreement with the Institute of Health Economics of Dhaka University (DU) in the capital recently.
Md Jalalul Azim, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pragati Life Insurance Ltd, and Dr Syed Abdul Hamid, Director of the Institute of Health Economics of DU signed the contract on behalf of their respective organisations, says a statement.
Under the agreement, Pragati Life will provide life and health insurance coverage to the students of the Institute of Health Economics. Gradually all the students of Dhaka University will come under the Pragati Life Student Insurance Initiative.
Professor Shibli Rubaiyat Ul Islam, Chairman of Shadharan Bima Corporation, SM Ziaul Haque, General Manager (Operations) and Project Director of Pragati Life Insurance Ltd, and Dr Nazma Begum of DU were present at the agreement-signing ceremony, among others.
Besides, teachers and students of the Institute of Health Economics were also present.
