Robi launches digital distribution network

Mobile phone operator, Robi has introduced a digital distribution network for retailers, distributors and customers which will enable them to conduct their business digitally, reports BSS.

Around 0.7 million Robi and Airtel retailers across the country will now be able to purchase load balance from Robi through an app.

In addition, distributors and retailers will have access to financing support from the banks on emergency fast track basis.

Mobile financial service provider, Nagad as a partner of this initiative is providing the payment gateway related support while others would join shortly, added the release.

Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar thanked Robi for introducing the innovative solution in the market.

"As part of Digital Bangladesh vision, we now need to quickly expand connectivity and shift to a cashless society. Our tremendous achievement during the pandemic will remain as an inspiration for us to move forward with our vision," he added.

Nagad's Managing Director Tanvir A Mishuk said banks need to come forward with an improvised lending scheme so they can also get access to crucial financial support to grow their business.
