Sales of Walton brand air-conditioners have significantly increased as pre-summer temperature is rising for the last few weeks across the country, says a statement.
Walton officials have said their new model ACs, including IoT (Internet of Things)-based smart ones with power efficient inverter technology's compressor, Walton brands inverter air-conditioners of 18000 BTU (British Thermal Unit), 24000 BTU with ionizer technology and 17200 BTU, and 12000 BTU are selling like hot cakes in the local markets with the advent of spring.
Chief Operating Officer of Walton AC Engr Md Ishaque Rony said Walton ACs with inverter technology's compressor consume 50 per cent less electricity than those manufactured with conventional technology.
He said the company for the first time in Bangladesh applied 'Golden Fin' technologies to its ACs which was released recently in the local markets just after getting testing certificate from the Bangladesh Accreditation Board-authorised international standard NUSDAT-UTS testing lab.
Sales representatives of Walton ACs said the application of world's latest technologies, assurance of perfect BTU and highest standard, lucrative design and outlook, reasonable rate, six-month's replacement guaranty and nationwide sales and service have resulted in the company's ACs becoming the buyers top choice.
They also said, the engineers of research and development department of Walton AC have brought IoT-based smart ACs with power efficient inverter technology's compressor in views of the rising demands for hi-tech ACs.
They said that users of the Smart ACs can monitor the power consumption units, daily or monthly electricity bill of it, compressors condition like overload or normal, power connections like on or off, and high or low voltage supply to it, in their mobile phone from any corner of the world.
Amdadul Haque Sarker, executive director and distributor marketing head of Walton, said that the sales of Walton air-conditioners during the period of January and February of 2018 were higher than that of the corresponding period of 2017. Besides, sales of ACs in February and March have already surpassed the target.
The company's 18,000 BTU's IoT and inverter technology's Smart AC are selling at Tk 65,000 in the local market, 18000 BTU at Tk 63,500, 24000 BTU with ionizer technology Tk 49,900 and 17200 BTU, and 12000 BTU at Tk 43,900 and Tk 35,900 respectively.
