SHAHJALAL ISLAMI BANK PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIP TO 250 STUDENTS

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has provided scholarships to 250 poor and meritorious students who have passed HSC and equivalent examinations. They are currently studying in various public universities, government medical colleges and engineering universities. A total of Tk 31.75 million will be given to the scholarship recipients to complete their courses in four years. The scholarship cheques were distributed at a ceremony held at the bank's corporate head office on Wednesday. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank A. K. Azad handed over the cheques to the students as the chief guest. Director of the bank & Chairman of the Bank Foundation Dr Anwar Hossain Khan was present as special guest. Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Mosleh Uddin Ahmed presided over the event. Some 50 scholarship recipients received the cheques at the ceremony. The scholarship money of the remaining students will be paid into their respective bank accounts.
