Shimanto Bank inks MoU with finance ministry to provide loans for govt employees

Shimanto Bank PLC has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance at the Secretariat. Under this MoU, all permanent government officials and employees can avail home loans under a special scheme through Shimanto Bank. In this regard, a portion of the loan interest will be subsidised by the government, while the remaining portion will be borne by borrowers. The signing ceremony was presided over by Mohammad Abul Hashem, Additional Secretary, Planning, Development and Reform Wing, Finance Division. Md. Nurul Azim, Managing Director & CEO, of the bank, and Ferdous Rowshan Ara, Additional Secretary, Admin & Planning, Finance Division, signed the MoU.
