Shohoz fined for selling same ticket twice

The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) on Wednesday fined Shohoz, a private online seller of railway tickets, Tk 0.21 million for selling a single ticket twice.

The consumer rights agency imposed the fines during a mass hearing at its office in Dhaka city.

Biswajit Saha, a passenger, lodged a complaint with the DNCRP with the evidence that Shohoz sold the same ticket.

Meanwhile, Shohoz in a statement the same day claimed that Mr Saha did not file any complaint with it about the issue.
