Shwapno providing overnight shelter, meals for the homeless

Bangladesh's leading retail chain Shwapno has undertaken a humanitarian initiative to support homeless and vulnerable people during the winter season.

As part of the initiative, Shwapno is providing temporary overnight shelter and meals for homeless individuals at selected outlets. Recognizing that people who have lost their homes endure the harshest living conditions during winter, the company has arranged safe nighttime accommodation to protect them from extreme cold, says a press release.

Several outlets outside the capital have already been brought under the programme. Tents have been set up adjacent to outlets to offer protection for those living under the open sky. The initiative has received widespread appreciation from various quarters.

In addition to shelter, Shwapno is distributing blankets and food to people in distress. The company stated that these facilities will remain in place throughout the winter season.
