Total holds LPG awareness programme

The French multinational energy operator "TOTAL" organised "Total Anonnya" programme at Shohid Rowshon Ali Khan Mohabiddaloy in Tangail. State minister for women and children affairs Meher Afroze Chumki inaugurated the programme. The objective of "Total Anonnya" programme is to create the awareness of LPG as a safe energy on cooking while reducing the air pollution from coal burning, dry leaves, straw, etc. At the programme, the minister said that women empowerment is moving ahead worldwide and the progress is also remarkable in Bangladesh. "It's now visible that women have brought a balanced solution and progress in today's competitive society. So today's growing girls and women are not only part of the society, rather they are the icon in the society with lots of success stories. "Total Anonnya" is an initiative by Total Bangladesh where one can learn about safe home and safe cooking method. Monzur Morshed Siddiqui, Managing Director of Total Bangladesh, said: "Through Total Anonnya, we want to promote the issue of safe and hygienic kitchen in Bangladesh and this is our commitment" Lawmakers Md. Anupom Sahazahan and Vice Chairman of Total Bangladesh Syed Mahmudul Huq also attended the programme.
