Training on UPs’ financial audit

A two-day 'Auditors Training on Financial Audit, Performance Assessment and Fiduciary & Safeguards Compliance Assessment of Union Parishads for Fiscal Year 2016-17' began at CA Bhaban in the city on Tuesday, says a press statement.

The training was organised jointly by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and Local Governance Support Project (LGSP)-3, Local Government Division. A total of 500 auditors took part in the training.

Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan, Senior Secretary, Local Government Division, LGRD and Cooperatives Ministry, was present as the chief guest.

ICAB President Dewan Nurul Islam, Joint Secretary, LGD, Muhammad Emdad Ullah and Senior Audit Specialist, LGSP-3, AKM Rahmat Ullah were present as special guests.

Sardar Sarafat Ali, Project Director, LGSP-3, chaired the inaugural session of the training.
