TUNIS, Sept 16 (Xinhua): The Tunisian state budget for 2019 would be 14.4 billion US dollars, with an annual growth of three per cent, Finance Minister Ridha Chalgoum announced Friday.

Chalghoum made the remarks on the sidelines of Tunisia National Conference on Economic and Social Orientations of the 2019 New Finance Law. Chalghoum said the government would do its best to lower the debt ratio below 70 per cent.

At the opening session of the conference, Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed said conflict and political turmoil have disrupted the government performance.

"Various reforms have been delayed because of the weakness of political support and we will not give up these reforms in the interest of Tunisia and its economy," Chahed said.
