Two elite premium cards unveiled at 'UCB Night'

The United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) arranged "UCB Night - The Beginning of a New Era" at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel on Friday.

The evening witnessed the official unveiling of two highly anticipated elite cards- UCB Visa Infinite Card and the UCB Mastercard World Elite, says a press release.

Featuring modern, sophisticated designs and enriched with advanced benefits, these cards stood as a confident declaration of UCB's commitment to taking customer service to the next level. The resounding applause made it clear that the initiative resonated strongly with customer expectations.

Over the past year, the bank has recorded its highest-ever deposit growth. While deposits increased by BDT 40.82 billion in 2024, the figure surged to nearly BDT 130.00 billion in 2025-an unprecedented milestone in UCB's history.

In 2025 alone, 678,000 new customers joined UCB. At the same time, disciplined and efficient management has reduced the Advance-to-Deposit Ratio from 91.3 per cent to 83.0 per cent, underscoring UCB's growing stability.

Speaking at the event, UCB Chairman Sharif Zahir said, "With what we have built over four decades, Insha'Allah, and with your continued support, we will achieve even greater success over the next four years."

UCB Managing Director and CEO Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid stated, "Our priorities are clear: first stability, then trust, and finally sustainable growth."
