UCB HOLDS SKILLS DEVELOPMENT TRAINING FOR NAOGAON FARMERS

United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) organised a skills development training session for agricultural entrepreneurs in Naogaon on Thursday. More than 350 participants from 11 upazilas under Naogaon district joined the session aimed at empowering farmers to become successful entrepreneurs. Faruq Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director and CFO of UCB, was present as the chief guest. Rezaul Karim Siddique, presenter of BTV's agriculture program Mati O Manush; Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension in Naogaon; Dr Md Saiful Islam, District Veterinary Officer; Md Ferdous Ali, District Fisheries Officer; Noopur Karmakar, Regional Head of UCB's Rajshahi Division; and S.M. Masud Rana, Manager of UCB's Naogaon branch; were also present. This training is part of UCB's Corporate Social Responsibility initiative under the Bhorshar Notun Janala project, in line with Bangladesh Bank's directives.
