A 'BARI Innovative Technology Exhibition and Agricultural Education Motivational Programme for Youth' was held at the institute's Kazi Badruddoza auditorium on Monday. The Training and Communication Wing of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) held a 'BARI Innovative Technology Exhibition and Agricultural Education Motivational Programme for Youth' at the institute's Kazi Badruddoza auditorium on Monday.
Students of BARI High School, young agricultural entrepreneurs and various stakeholders related to agriculture participated in this programme. The event was a part of the celebration of "Youth Festival-2025," says a press statement.
A workshop was held after the BARI's Technology Exhibition programme. BARI's Director (Training and communication) Dr. Md. Ataur Rahman presided over the session while Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ashraf Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest.
At this time, Principal Scientific Officer (Training and Communication) Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque gave a presentation of BARI.
Director (Planning & Evaluation) Dr. Md. Mazharul Anwar; Director (Oilseed Research Centre) Dr. Md. Monjurul Kadir and Director (Tuber Crop Research Centre) Dr. Md. Altaf Hossain were present as special guests. Divisional Head, senior scientists from various center/division/section of BARI were present there also.
The focal point of the programme was, Chief Scientific Officer (Vegetable Division) Dr. Md. Obaidullah Kaisar. The 'Youth Festival' was co-ordinated by senior scientific officer (Training and Communication Wing) Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman.
Various improved varieties, modern cultivation methods, environment-friendly agricultural technologies and exportable agricultural products invented by BARI were displayed at the exhibition.
