BGB recover 40,000 Yaba tablets in Chapainawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Mar 12 (BSS): 53 battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 40,000 pieces of yaba tablet from frontier Bisrashia field area under Shibganj upazila in the district on Tuesday morning.

BGB said, acting on secret information, a patrol team of BGB from Wahedpur border out post raided the aforesaid area at around 9.30 am and saw an unidentified man coming with a bag on his head.

Sensing the presence of BGB the man fled away leaving the bag. After searching the bag BGB found the yaba tablets worth about Tk 12 million.

The seized tablets were deposited with the Narcotics Control Department.
