Mustard cultivation begins in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, Nov 08 (BSS): The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) has fixed a target of brining 21,358 hectares of land under mustard cultivation in the district this Rabi season.

According to DAE officials said production target of mustard is fixed at 27,552 tonnes.

The Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC) allocated 10 tonnes of mustard seed in the district this season.

According to the Seed Marketing Wing of BADC, under the quality seed distribution programme, seven tonnes of mustard seeds will be sold among farmers in the district through its 196 registered dealers.
