DITF 2019 begins on January 9

The winter is the best time for fairs, weddings and picnics. For Dhaka city-dwellers, it is also the season for the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF). This year, the month-long DITF will begin on January 9.

The DITF has been an annual event in Bangladesh since it was first organised in 1995. Many companies, local and foreign, open their stalls at the DITF to showcase their products to consumers as well as potential investors and distributors. Beside local companies participating at the fair, there will be exhibitors from countries like India, Pakistan, Thailand, Nepal, the UK, the US, Singapore, and many others.

The DITF is also helpful for the youth as many young people get part-time jobs for a month at the stalls there. Beside earning some money, the opportunity helps them gain some professional experience. Traders also offer their best prices and attractive discounts at the fair, making the fair a shopping extravaganza.
