Green building movement

March 12, 2019 00:00:00

Pollution in the cities echoes the grave concern of each and every inhabitant. Unplanned and haphazard urbanisation is the root cause of all pollution related problems.

The green building movement is an attempt to minimise and eliminate negative impacts and maximise environmental, economic and community/human benefits. Green buildings effectively reduces air pollution through use of reduced energy, appropriate refrigerants, and materials with low off-gassing and other steps. Reduction in use of fossil fuels at the building site results in lower air pollution, while reduction in electricity use results in lower air pollution associated with power plants.

It is clear that if a builder is constructing a green building, he or she can jump the queue waiting for an environmental clearance.
