Opening an engineering faculty in JU

The University of Dhaka has been imparting engineering education in eight disciplines under Faculty of Engineering in order to cater to increasing demand for technical personnel in the country. I think similar steps should be taken in other public universities in different engineering disciplines.

Jahangirnagar University (JU) would be an ideal location for the purpose. In view of increasing deficit of technical personnel, the Ministry of Education should immediately initiate a project in order to set up another Faculty of Engineering in JU. Bangladesh needs more engineers to speed up its development towards becoming a middle income country.
