Pathao has made a positive difference

Pathao has brought a positive change in the city's communication system by reducing pressure on existing number of public transports available to the commuters. Now anyone, who has the Pathao app downloaded on his or her phone, can easily call a Pathao motorcycle through his or her smartphone.

During tailbacks, which are very common in Dhaka now, motorcycles can conveniently move through the vacant space on the left or right sides of the road. This aspect makes motorcycle rides less time-consuming. This is why Pathao is so popular.

Pathao started their journey as a courier service in 2015 with own fleet of motorcycles and cycles. The efforts of the young people behind Pathao should be appreciated. Besides making communication easier in the city, Pathao has also provided jobs to many unemployed young men.

App-based ride-sharing services like Pathao, Uber, SAM and many others have actually helped the city. Pathao has even initiated Pathao Foods. Through this, anyone can order food from any restaurant in their locality through the app and from the comfort of their own homes. Pathao also has Pathao cars.

Related departments of the government should recognise the efforts of these companies at helping and improving the conditions of residents of Dhaka.
