Soaring prices in kitchen market

The holy month of Ramadan is just a few days away and we already can feel the heat of soaring prices. Last Friday, I went to the kitchen market to buy my weekly essentials. The prices of everything went up suddenly. Fish, beef and chicken were also no exception.

Before Ramadan, the government was pledging that this time the prices of essentials would remain stable but in reality, we see the opposite. Many traders are increasing prices since there is a growing demand.

The government has little influence on the market, so the sufferings of the common people do not end. Unscrupulous traders know that during Ramadan people will buy some items even at a much higher prices. So, they take this chance and make excessive profit which ultimately affects the common people.
