Dhaka has been rated as the one of the worst polluted cities of the world. It has become more challenging to lead a healthy life here in this city.
The people of the city face hassles regarding their trashes. Trashes are one of the major reasons for various kinds of pollutions in the environment. Some of the trashes are recyclable. But in Dhaka city it cannot be recycled efficiently because in every home we only use one trash bucket or plastic bag and we throw the recyclable materials in the same bucket creating a big mess. Recycling every recyclable material will have a good impact on our environment.
The city corporations can provide three trash buckets of red, blue and green colours with instructions. In red bucket, people will put their regular trashes. In blue bucket, they will put mainly recyclable materials like plastics, plastic bags, papers etc. and in the green bucket, sharp-edged materials like broken glass, blades, hard materials which can be harmful to animals and people. If people throw their trashes in this pattern, it will help to keep the city clean. In addition, the recyclable trashes can be collected easily. Immediate steps are necessary in this regard to make our Dhaka a livable city.
