Teachers and students of East Delta University pose for a photograph with University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan after an orientation programme at their campus in Chittagong East Delta University arranged an orientation programme for the freshers of 'Spring Semester-2018' at its permanent campus in Chittagong city's Nasirabad area recently. University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan, the chief guest of the event, inspired the students to engage themselves with science and technology to keep pace with the fast moving world.
The university Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Muhammad Sekandar Khan presided over the programme. It was also attended by Treasurer Professor Shames-Ud-Doha, Acting Registrar Sajal Barua, associate deans Mohammed Nazim Uddin, Mohammed Shahidul Islam Chowdhury and Mohammad Rokibul Kabir, among others.
UGC Chairman Mannan said that the traditional education will not be effective in practical life and so the youths will have to prepare themselves to lead the world with their talents in the age of fourth industrial revolution.
