First session of 11th JS begins tomorrow

The first session of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) will begin at 3.00pm tomorrow (Wednesday). President Abdul Hamid called the session on January 09 exercising the power bestowed upon him as per clause (1) of article 72 of the Constitution. President Hamid will deliver his speech on the first day of the session. — BSS

Two pedestrians die as truck ploughs thru footpath in city

Two pedestrians were killed as a goods-laden truck ploughed into a footpath on airport road in front of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Monday. The deceased are Dalim, 20, and Mobarak, 30. Meanwhile, Bulbul Hossain, 22, son of Rajab Ali, was killed in a road crash on 300-feet road in the Khilket area. — UNB
