One of the leading Chinese integrated construction solution providers is planning to enter the Asian markets, including Bangladesh, to grab the growing demands for housing and high-rise buildings.

They were looking for partnerships in different regions and countries with the ones having very strong background, said Bo Huang, vice president of Broad Homes Industrial International Construction Com ltd.

"We can do practice locally," he said, addressing a 12-member Bangladesh media delegation, led by Bangladesh Betar Director (News) Hosne Ara Talukdar, that visited the factory on Sunday.

Mr Huang pointed out that there is a global demand for housing as everyone wants a house not only in Bangladesh but also in Malaysia and Indonesia, which are very populated countries.

Broad Homes offers technical service and consulting in the area of precast concrete manufacturing and construction.

Precast concrete is produced by casting concrete in reusable mold or form which is then cured in a controlled environment, transported to the construction site and lifted into place.

The company exports its products to France, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Nigeria.

Claiming that they are the biggest company in China, Mr Huang said 90 per cent of the company business was still based in China, but was looking for collaboration to expand the business overseas.

As the leading enterprise in precast concrete construction worldwide, Broad Homes is specialised in providing integrated solutions of precast concrete construction to buildings like residential, commercial, public facilities, industrial facilities and infrastructure for over 20 years.

By 2017, Broad Homes has expanded the annual production capacity up to 50 million square metre in construction area, operating 15 precast concrete factories and over 60 joint venture factories.

With the improvement of research and development, design, manufacturing, construction, material and product systems, quality has improved and time, energy and cost can be saved, Mr Huang said.

The 2.2 billion yuan company capitalises the demands for better quality, short delivery time and the customers need nothing to do with its one stop service providing to attract more clients, he explained.

All things are done under same roof-from building design to construction, he said, explaining that the company produces everything in its factory and then install those in the construction site.

He said labour shortage would be one of the reasons to make everything centrally with the use of high technology to avoid manual labour.

The Broad Homes established its research and development (R&D) centre in 1996 consisting of professional teams with adequate engineers and architects.

The company invited professional researchers not only from the field of construction engineering, but also from other fields of specialisation such as ecology, energy and artificial intelligence to create innovations for industrialised buildings in China, he explained.

It is also constructing American, French and European style villas which are expensive, he said, expressing the hope that his company will meet 90 per cent of the global demand after complying with the US, EU and Australian standards.

Responding to a question, Mr Huang said the two or three storied buildings are strong enough against any natural disaster, including earthquake.
