At least five people were killed in anti-drug 'shootouts' with law-enforcement agencies in four districts on Wednesday as part of the ongoing anti-drug raids throughout the country, reports bdnews24.com.

Among them, two were killed in Kushtia and one in Natore in 'crossfires' with RAB. Another two persons died in 'shootouts' with police at Keraniganj in Dhaka and in Lakshmipur.

They were all engaged in drug-dealing, said law-enforcement agencies adding they were named in drug cases.

Law-enforcement agencies have been reporting deaths of 'drug dealers' in 'shootouts' almost every day since the nationwide drive against drugs began in May following a directive by the prime minister.

At least 200 people have been killed in the last two months in similar incidents.
