HC orders Green Line to pay crash victim Tk 5.0m

The High Court asked on Tuesday Green Line Paribahan to pay Tk 5.0 million as compensation to Russel Sarkar, who lost his leg in an accident in the city's Dholaipar on April 28, last year, within two weeks, reports UNB.

The HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader passed the order following a writ petition.

Advocate Khandaker Shamsul Haq Reza stood for the petitioner while Mohammad Ajiullah stood for Green Line Paribahan and deputy attorney general Abdullah al Mahmud Bashar represented the state.
