Parents, son found dead in Mirpur

Police recovered the bodies of a couple and their son from the city's Mirpur area on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Bayezid, 45, a businessman, his wife Anjana, 40, and son Farhan, 18, a college student.

Officer-in-Charge of Kafrul Police Station Selimuzzaman told the FE that police found the body of Bayezid hanging from a ceiling fan while the bodies of his wife and son were found lying on their bed at Road No-5, Block-B, Section-13 in Mirpur.

Neighbours informed the police about the incident as they got no response from the family members even after knocking on the door, he added.

However, the cause of their death could not be known immediately.

Police sent the bodies to Dhaka Medical College

Hospital morgue for autopsy. Further investigation was underway to unearth the cause behind the fatal incident.

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) branch of police was asked to examine the evidence left on the spot.
