Prof Anupam Sen reappointed Premier University VC

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 5: The tenure of Vice Chancellor (VC) of the Premier University Prof Dr Anupam Sen has been extended for four more years.

He was appointed the VC of the university on October 1, 2006.

President Abdul Hamid has reappointed him for another four years as per Private University Act 2010.

Prof Anupam, also a renowned social scientist, hails from Dhalghat village under Patiya upazila of Chattogram.

He did his honours in sociology from Dhaka University in 1962 and master's in 1963.

His book entitled 'The State: Industrialization and Class Formation in India', published by a global publishing house in the US in 1982, is included in the curriculum of different universities, including New York University, Toronto University and Kolkata University.
